Churn Back Time at Westfield’s Dairy Delicious

Join Westfield Heritage Village for a tasty, immersive, and hands-on experience at Dairy Delicious on Sunday, August 3 and Monday, August 4 from 10 AM to 4 PM.

At this new and unique event, visitors can explore the history, science, and technology of the many delicious dairy products made in Ontario from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. At the heart of this Dairy Delicious event will be interactive, dairy-themed activities and experiences, including exhibits, games and hands-on activities.

Westfield is thrilled to partner with Summit Station Dairy, a multigenerational dairy farm with a proud history rooted in the Hamilton community. Known for their excellence and innovation, Summit Station Dairy is consistently recognized as one of the Top 10 Managed Dairy Herds in Canada.

Visitors can look forward to historical cooking and baking demonstrations using dairy products, a milking demonstration, take part in butter churning, ice cream making, and more! Dairy equipment, old and new, will show the processes and science of dairy production. Q&A sessions will take place throughout the day to provide insight into dairy farming. The event will also feature a lively midway of unique Edwardian carnival games, including some fun dairy-themed games, and a family craft.

The Copetown Lions Food Truck will be on-site with yummy treats for purchase, including fries, hamburgers, and hot dogs. Stop by the General Store to buy an ice-cold bottle of milk to enjoy, as well as other sweet treats.
