Join Us for a Mindful Hike at Westfield!
Looking to unwind and reconnect with nature? Come to Westfield for a guided mindful hike through our scenic conservation area. Susan Reid, a certified Guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and Trainers, will lead the walk and help participants experience nature in a calm and meaningful way.
What is Forest Therapy?
Forest Therapy is a guided, mindful practice inspired by the Japanese tradition of Shinrin-Yoku or “forest bathing.” It helps reduce stress, support well-being, and strengthen the connection between people and nature. The practice is gentle, inclusive, and open to anyone looking to slow down and reconnect.
The hike begins at 10 AM and covers approximately 2 kilometres on easy-to-navigate trails. We’ll wrap up around noon at the picnic area, just in time for you to stay and explore the historic village.
After the hike, you are welcome to stay and enjoy an afternoon of discovery at Westfield Heritage Village Conservation Area. Step back in time from 12 PM to 4 PM as you explore the historical buildings that bring early Canadian culture to life. Our costumed interpreter volunteers will be on hand to share stories, demonstrate traditional skills, and bring history to life in engaging and interactive ways.
Space is limited, and registration is required.
