About Fifty Point Conservation Area

Welcome to Fifty Point Conservation Area on Lake Ontario, a magnificent 80-hectare park with superb marina facilities in Stoney Creek. It’s the place to be for a swim in Lake Ontario, family camping or a picnic for groups of any size.

Visitors can also enjoy a fabulous lakefront view by walking our promenade or while relaxing at conveniently located benches and shaded areas.

The marina is one of the best on western Lake Ontario, with docking spaces for 330 boats and a double boat launch. Other marina facilities include a fully serviced gas dock and pump-out station, visitor docks, hydro hook-ups, water, showers, washrooms, and winter storage facilities. Fifty Point Marina has been honoured with the achievement of a Diamond rating under the Clean Marine program.

The marina can be contacted on Channel 68 VHF.

Dry Dock Storage
Looking to store your boat this season? Fifty Point offers dry dock storage from April 1 to September 30. Boats must be on trailers and will be stored in our fenced compound. Customers who use this program will also receive a pass that allows vehicle entry into the park (valid for dry dock period), access to water and hydro and unlimited use of the boat ramp. Fifty Point’s 70 fully serviced sites (sewer, hydro and water), are perfectly situated near the south shore of Lake Ontario. The comfort station is equipped with individual showers, accessible shower, washrooms and laundry facilities.

Docking/camping packages are available. Camping is available from April to Thanksgiving.

Whether your group is big or small, we have you covered! Fifty Point welcomes small or large group events, like family reunions and corporate picnics. We offer two covered picnic pavilions as well as a variety of uncovered group areas that are available by reservation. There are also many picnic tables available throughout the day-use area and do not require reservations. Alcohol is not permitted at any time.

Enjoy a hike around the area on our new 3.4km accessible recreational trail loop! There is also a newly installed fishing bridge crossing the pond and connecting the loop from side to side.

Fifty Point has one of the warmest and cleanest beaches on western Lake Ontario. Change rooms are conveniently located at the nearby beach house.

Be smart this summer season and follow all water safety rules. No lifeguards are provided at our beaches. Adults, children are your responsibility.

Water Quality Testing
Fifty Point is tested weekly during the summer months by Niagara Region Public Health and results are posted on the Niagara Region website.

Fifty Point is recognized as one of the bird watching hot spots in the Golden Horseshoe area. It is in the middle of an internationally recognized Important Birding Area and the land form that juts out into Lake Ontario is known as a wonderful spot to watch for migrating waterfowl and pelagic (sea) birds.

Anglers will love the variety of fishing opportunities at Fifty Point, from Lake Ontario fishing to the pond in the park!

Please note that as of 2018, the pond at Fifty Point is no longer stocked.
