Westfield Heritage Village
Come out to Westfield on Sunday October 21 for Pumpkin Sunday and enjoy pumpkin-themed games, activities and a craft, all within the village’s beautiful, historic setting. You will want to bring your camera to capture this very special day.
At Westfield you can visit more than thirty historic buildings and meet costumed interpreters who will help you learn about life in earlier times. Some extra special activities are planned for Pumpkin Sunday. In several historic homes and at the bake oven, pumpkin will be the main ingredient in cooking and baking demonstrations. You might even get a little taste. On the village green, pumpkins are the heart of traditional games, races and activities. Families can work together to create a unique take home craft in the one room log schoolhouse. Take your picture with some friendly scarecrows or in countless beautiful locations in the village. Little ones are welcome to wear their costumes if they wish. An extra treat this day will be a special Halloween sing-along led by The LONE Rhubarbarian on guitar & Gwen Harper on piano.
If all of this country air and fun gives you an appetite, tasty food prepared by the Ancaster Lions will be available for purchase. You can also visit the General Store for old-fashioned sweet treats or bring a picnic with you to enjoy in the picnic area or under a shady tree.
HCA Members receive free entry into Westfield’s public programming, for 6 people, including a maximum of 2 adults.
