Guided Bird Hike
Join us to explore one of Canada’s finest Carolinian forests and its amazing bird life!
On this 2.5 hour hike we will search for breeding birds and the many migrant birds that pass through the valley every spring. These hikes will be led by our resident bird expert James Lees.
James has been working as an ornithologist for over 15 years, has traveled to more than 30 countries studying birds and is currently a Conservation Technician in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
Two Hike Dates:
Saturday May 5 and Sunday May 20
$10 per person per hike – all monies will go to the Hamilton Conservation Foundation Dundas Valley fund. $10 parking fee also in place – free parking for membership pass holders.
Please meet at the Hermitage Parking Lot on Sulphur Springs Road in Ancaster at 8:00am
– A maximum of 15 places are available per hike.
– The pace of the hike is moderate, terrain variable.
– Water bottle recommended.
– Unfortunately dogs are not welcome on this event.
