Parking & access to Spencer Gorge, Tew & Webster Falls

Updated Friday, October 18, 2019.

Please note: The Greensville area has been designated a Special Enforcement Area for parking. Parking illegally in this area will result in a fine of $250.00. Weekend and holiday waterfall parking is ONLY available at Christie Lake Conservation Area, located at 1000 Highway 5 West.

HCA will continue to work collaboratively with City of Hamilton staff on parking issues.  Enforcement and ticketing will be carried out by municipal bylaw officers on residential streets posted as No Stopping or No Parking and illegal parking operations reported.

The Waterfall shuttle will continue its 2019 operations from Christie Lake Conservation Area, until Sunday October 27, 2019.

The first shuttle will leave Christie Lake at 9:30 AM to travel to Spencer Gorge.  Shuttle service returning to Christie Lake ends at 6:30 p.m. There is no on-site parking available at Spencer Gorge during shuttle operations, with the exception of limited accessible parking at Webster Falls.

The shuttle program has proved to be a significant and effective operational change for visitor access to the Spencer Gorge area and has now become an ongoing seasonal component of operations at Christie Lake.

The cost for the shuttle is included in the regular area entry fee to Christie Lake Conservation Area, $10 per car for parking and $5 per person.  HCA passholders using the shuttle from Christie Lake will receive admission to the shuttle and Spencer Gorge for the driver and passengers of their vehicle, to a maximum of 6.

Details about the shuttle operation, including what visitors can bring with them and other frequently asked questions are posted at
