Winters with snow are few and far between, so be sure to get out and enjoy some cross country skiing, winter hiking or snowshoeing over 140km of HCA trails while you can! Snowy winters also provide the perfect opportunity to flex your photography skills and provide that perfect shot. There are plenty of fun outdoor activities to choose from this holiday season!
Coming soon! Skate through the trees at Valens Lake’s new 425 meter long outdoor skating loop, located in the Cedar Loop of the campground! Enjoy a picturesque skating experience through the forest and warm up by a fire as you strap on your skates. Loop is currently closed due to weather conditions. Please check our website for updates.
Explore the Dundas Valley’s 40 kilometres of trails, including the Hamilton to Brantford Rail Trail and the Main Loop trail, featuring the newly restored Hermitage Ruins. Christie Lake Conservation Area has 10 km of trails, on both sides of the reservoir and the wilderness area. Valens Lake also offers 10 km of trails that feature a 300 metre boardwalk and observation tower.
Regular park admission rates apply for all areas, while HCA Membership Pass holders are free!
