Ask questions, overcome hurdles, follow your passion! Join us for a free workshop on Sat, March 5 2016 to develop your community environmental projects.
Are you a community-minded individual or group member keen on skill-building, networking and sharing ideas about your environmental projects? If so, this workshop is for you!
Sharing Experiences offers a balanced mix of presentations, discussion time and opportunities to meet like-minded people. Our goal is to give you resources and key take-home messages to help you develop or enhance environmental projects within your community.
This workshop highlights methods to strengthen your group and engage a broader community audience. Fundraising, youth outreach, board recruitment and project planning are just a few examples of topics we’ve covered in the past.
This event is especially well suited for:
- representatives of clubs or small conservation/stewardship-themed groups
- individuals interested creating positive environmental change
Please arrive with your own stories and questions. We know you will leave with the tools and inspiration to move your ideas forward!
Keynote Speaker: Gord Miller
Gord Miller, the former Environmental Commissioner of Ontario from 2000-2015 has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the 2016 workshop.
