Robert Pasuta reacclaimed HCA Chairman, Santina Moccio Vice-Chair
Councillor Robert Pasuta was acclaimed Chairman for his third term as head of the Hamilton Conservation Authority board during its February 2 annual meeting.
A resident of Flamborough, Pasuta was first appointed to the HCA’s Board of Directors in 2007 as a City Councillor member. He was elected as City Councillor for Ward 14 in 2006 and is now in his third term as a City Council member. He and his family actively manage a farm in Flamborough. In addition to the HCA and City Council committees, he sits on the executive of the Golden Horseshoe Food and Farming Alliance, and has served on the board of directors of the Greenbelt Foundation. Councillor Pasuta was first elected as Chairman June 25, 2015.
Santina Moccio, a citizen member of the Board of Directors, was acclaimed Vice-Chair for her third term. The Vice-Chair automatically assumes the chair of HCA's Budget and Administration committee. Moccio was appointed as a citizen member of the Board of Directors in 2011. She is an adjudicator with the Ontario Parole Board, and she has a long history of community involvement as a member of the Police Chief's Select Committee on Mental Health and the Hamilton Police Chief's Advisory Committee with Hamilton Police Services, as well as with the Buffalo & Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority and Hamilton Children's Aid Society. Moccio is also a volunteer at Good Shepherd Centre's Martha House Shelter for Abused Women & Children.
Maria Topalovic was also reacclaimed as Chair of the Conservation Advisory Board (CAB).
