Howling Halloween at HCA!


Are you ready for a ghoulish good time this Halloween? The Hamilton Conservation Authority has two spooktacular family fun events coming up at our conservation areas this Halloween season!


Halloween Howl, Fifty PointHalloween Howl and Hocus Pocus

Fifty Point Conservation Area
Saturday, October 20 from 3pm to 6pm, film begins at dusk.

The fourth annual Halloween Howl returns to Fifty Point! Families will be able to enjoy hayrides, a bouncy castle, treat bag decorating, games, bonfire with marshmallows for roasting and complimentary hot chocolate!

The day is capped off with a screening of Hocus Pocus the movie film; don’t forget your blankets and chairs! Costumes welcome!

Special guests include; Creature Quest with some creepy crawlies, local fire truck and crew and Gorilla Cheese food truck. Costumes welcome!

Admission
Admission is just $15 per car; free for HCA Members.


Fright in the Forest and Ghostbusters

Dundas Valley Conservation Area
Saturday October 20, beginning at 4pm, film begins at dusk.

Visit the Dundas Valley for Fright in the Forest on Saturday October 20, beginning at 4pm. Travel down the Haunted Forest Trail, Roast marshmallows over a bonfire, enjoy a Hay Wagon ride,  and visit the spooky Trail Centre for treats and snacks!

The evening is capped off with a screening of the original Ghostbusters film; don’t forget your blankets and chairs! Costumes welcome!

Admission
Admission is just $15 per car; free for HCA Members.


Pumpkin Sunday

Westfield Heritage Village
Sunday, October 21, 2018, from 12:30pm to 4:00pm

Enjoy pumpkin-themed games, activities and a craft, all within the village’s beautiful, historic setting. You will want to bring your camera to capture this very special day!

On the village green, pumpkins are the heart of traditional games, races and activities. Families can work together to create a unique take home craft in the one room log schoolhouse. Take your picture with some friendly scarecrows or in countless beautiful locations in the village.

Little ones are welcome to wear their costumes if they wish. An extra treat this day will be a special Halloween sing-along led by The LONE Rhubarbarian on guitar & Gwen Harper on piano.

Admission
Admission to these events is $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for Seniors 65+, $6.50 for Youth. Children 5 and under are free. A Family Rate for two adults and two youths is available for $30.00. HCA Members receive free entry into Westfield’s public programming, for 6 people, including a maximum of 2 adults.


Haunted Halloween: Night Circus

Westfield Heritage Village
Friday October 26 & Saturday October 27, from 6:30pm to 9:30pm

Lit by lanterns, candles and pumpkins, the village is a beautiful and unique place to explore at nighttime!

Travel throughout the village and see what surprises await.! This year, the village green will be visited by members of a special traveling troupe. A miniature Night Circus will feature beautifully dressed Edwardian acrobats, carnival games and magic tricks.

Westfield’s forests are the setting for mystery, adventure and, often, the unexpected. For these two evenings only, Westfield’s already beautiful wooded trails are being transformed into a magical nighttime experience. Choose a pathway and enjoy a delightful Pumpkin Walk, sparkling Illuminated Forest and unique Fairy Village.

Admission
