Westfield Heritage Village
Westfield Heritage Village will welcome both the Flamborough Heritage Society and a group of keen Volkswagen enthusiasts this Sunday, August 27.
Members of the Historical Society are inviting community members to learn about the unique people and places of historical Flamborough and will be launching their new book, “Connecting the Dots: Snapshots of Flamborough Communities” from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. Everyone is invited to join in the celebration by bringing a picnic to enjoy under a shady tree. If you would like someone else to do the cooking, the Friends of Westfield will be offering delicious, reasonably priced food in the Ironwood Hall, including beef on a bun, hotdogs, ice cream and cold drinks.
Westfield is also very pleased to be welcoming an enthusiastic group who will be presenting the first annual Volkswagen Classic Car Show. The show will take place from 11:00AM to 3:00 PM. Classic Volkswagen owners that would like to display their car in the show can contact Ron French at 905-389-0935 for details.
Westfield’s historic village will be open from 12:30 to 4:00 PM. You can visit the museum’s historic buildings and meet costumed interpreters who will take you back to earlier times and places through a variety of demonstrations and activities. Young visitors are invited to take part in traditional games.
HCA Members receive free entry into Westfield’s public programming, for 6 people, including a maximum of 2 adults.
