Dundas Valley Conservation Area
Join the Giant’s Rib Escarpment Education Network at 10 AM for a fun, guided interpretive hike of the Main Loop Trail! Hike leaders will be on hand to guide visitors along the Main Loop Trail and interpret several features of the Dundas Valley and the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve. Visitors can also visit the Discovery Centre in the Dundas Valley Trail Centre and see fossil displays, taxidermy, featured artist of the month and video displays, or peruse the Niagara Escarpment library. The hike program will run scheduled Saturdays from June 1 through Thanksgiving, weather permitting. Hike lasts approximately 1.5 hours and is 3.5 km long.
The Giant’s Rib Escarpment Education Network is a non-profit volunteer organization. This event is part of Conservation Ontario’s Healthy Hikes Program.
The hiking program is free, however a parking fee of $10 per car applies. Parking fees are used for maintenance of the 40 km trail system and conservation work in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area.
