Westfield Heritage Village
Westfield Heritage Village is the place to be for some Father’s Day fun on Sunday June 19, from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m. The Village will humming and whirring with fascinating and ingenious antique machinery and vehicles. This event, presented in partnership with the Rockton Antique and Hobby Association, will be a fun way for families to celebrate this special day together.
There will be lots to see and do throughout the afternoon. Families are welcome to pack a lunch to enjoy in the picnic area, or under a shady tree in the village. A free steam traction engine ride through the village will be a highlight of your day. You can stop in at the Hardware Store for an interactive railway exhibit, and take in the wide range of antique vehicles and farm machinery that will be on display. Visit the steam locomotive and railway station and don’t forget to get your souvenir ticket to a local destination. Many of the village’s historical buildings, staffed by authentically dressed interpreters, will be open for you to explore.
Delicious sweet treats and cold drinks can be purchased at the General Store. Enjoy your treats on the bandstand and listen to the delightful music of the talented Ken Backer, who will be performing traditional old-time songs with autoharp, mountain dulcimer and fretless banjo.
Admission is $8.50 for adults, $7.50 for seniors and people with disabilities, and $5.50 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are admitted free. Parking is free. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online.
