Christie Lake Pond 6 Restoration
Following the decommissioning of Pond 6 at Christie Lake, restoration work was recently completed on February 16 and a new bridge and trail is now accessible. Sediment and erosion control measures have been installed near the bridge, riparian areas and slope to help stabilize the area.
Although the area is restored, the draining of the pond has left some areas unstable as sediment is exposed and needs time to settle.
Visitors are advised to please be cautious due to the newly formed pond, stream and slopes until the spring when vegetation begins to grow.
HCA will be planting the area with trees, shrubs and plants in May after frost.
